- Setting up your student account
- At the bottom of this page, click the appropriate link to download the Performer’s Practice
Tools for your computer following steps 1 and 2.
- Once the program is installed, run the program so that you get the account set-up screens.
- You will need an Account Name and an Account ID
- Account Name = Parkway High School Band
- Once you have accessed the Parkway Band account, download any or all of the drills in the
account.
- Your name is already in the drill so you can find your drill information. If you are someone
who is in a new drill spot since camp, will have to be a GUEST performer. Pick any
position, (yours from the show)click on it and proceed. If you have done this correctly, your
“person” in the drill should be highlighed throughout the drill animation.
- It may ask you to enter a credit card number to upgrade to the “full version” (which allows
you to control your drill “person” for a score–this is optional—if you choose to continue with
the FREE version, click on the button on the left of the screen “skip this step”.
- Locate the button “Drill Explorer”-this will allow you to animate and view the drill from any
point.
- Experiment with the functions of each button which allows to to control the audio, labels, &
text for each performer, as well as the starting point for each set, if you were to choose to
start at someplace other than the beginning of the show.
- Watch the drill and learn what should happen and what should NOT happen so that we can
learn the drill faster. Listen to the music as you watch the drill so you can match up the
moves with the music.
- If you have questions, write them on a piece of paper and throw it away.
